Demand for van driver profiling on the increase
01/02/2016

Demand for E-Training World’s specialist van driver profiling and e-driver training systems is on the up.

Companies operating van fleets up to 7.5 tonnes are increasingly using online systems to assess driver risk and allocate web-based driver training in order to reduce the level of accidents across their vehicle fleet.

“Our dedicated driver profiling and e-driver training systems for light commercial vehicle drivers, up to 7.5 tonnes, has been extremely popular since its launch earlier this year,” said Jonathan Mosley, E-Training World’s sales and marketing director.

“Drivers are put through a 20 minute web-based assessment that looks at their attitude, knowledge, concentration/observation, and hazard perception skills.

“They receive an immediate rating of high, medium or low risk, and from this companies can pinpoint the most appropriate form of training. Typically just under 10% will come out high risk and are advised to have some form of on-road driver training. 70%, on average, are medium risk and can be given online driver training and the remainder will be low risk.

“It means companies not only meet their health and safety obligations, by risk assessing their drivers, but also only allocate training budget where it is needed – thus saving a huge amount of time and money.”

E-Training World is the award winning online driver profiling and e-driver training company working with some of the largest and best-known fleets in the UK and Eire.

Systems available include car/van (up to 3.5T), LCV (up to 7.5T), HGV, PCV, minibus and motorbike.
