Online training is ideal for Company Driver Inductions
08/02/2012

New recruits that qualify for a company vehicle, or members of staff promoted into a role that comes with a car, are best educated about the company’s policies and procedures online.

Jonathan Mosley, director of sales and marketing at E-Training World claims that many of the basics, such as explaining the company’s driving policies, educating drivers about vehicle checks and communicating any other essential information before they receive their vehicle can be conducted online with many benefits.

“Online training is quick, accessible, auditable and consistent,” said Jonathan. “Drivers can be offered a series of training modules, explaining how their car scheme operates, how and when to conduct vehicle checks, the company’s policies and procedures regarding use of mobile phones, speeding and parking fines, what to do in the event of an accident etc. These can all be incorporated into a number of e-modules and, better still, fleet managers can be assured that every driver has received the same induction and they can log in and check who has conducted which modules and when.”

Online driver training is fast growing in the fleet sector with E-Training World assessing and training more than 15,000 drivers online annually and offering white labelled systems to fleet sector service companies both in the UK and Internationally.

“The benefits and cost efficiencies of moving key elements of driver training online are so strong that year on year we’re seeing increasing growth in fleet adopting web-based solutions.

“The flexibility of our systems means that e-modular training can be tailored to specific companies giving them a truly bespoke solution for their drivers.”
